How does the Maine Economic Research Institute determine what legislation to use to rate the performance of our Legislators? You tell us...

Every 2-3 years, MERI conducts a comprehensive survey of the senior management of Maine's business community  (CEOs, Presidents, Owners, General Managers) asking  your opinion/experience regarding doing business in Maine. The most recent Survey was mailed to a representative sampling of 3,700 Maine companies (by size - number of employees).

The 2005 MERI Senior Management Survey was presented to Maine's Governor and Legislative Leadership during the spring of 2005. It's your perspective, your experience, a snapshot of the state of Maine's economy provided by the people who know it best. In April, 2007 the new 123rd Legislature was provided copies  of  What's Important to Maine Employers, a research based compilation of three statistically significant SMS studies.
